As usual, enormous: the dinos are loose!

However, there must definitely be enough time for the "Triassic Trail". The educational circular walk for the whole family (approx. 4 km, 210 metres in altitude) provides at least as many great vantage points as exciting dinosaur facts and figures. And the brave ones dare to take a look from the 70 m high, coral-shaped viewing platform. Breathtaking for sure! But that's not all! In the "Triassic Centre", visitors are transformed into real prehistoric researchers, in no time at all in two rooms. Experience the formation of the earth, see real corals. As well as absorbing information in abundance, interactively and multimedia-based - history can be so exciting! There are no limits to the fun of the prehistoric era, even when the weather is bad.

Time for the prehistoric era on the Steinplatte

Once all the dinosaurs have been discovered, all the treasures found and all the dinosaur facts learned, the Steinplatte Waidring, with its incomparable and varied hiking trails, climbing routes and mountain bike routes offers more than enough incentive to spend even more time in the 3-Ländereck of Tyrol-Salzburg-Bavaria. The fantastic natural panorama invites you to linger. Some - like the dinosaurs - for millions of years. But they all come back, to the Steinplatte in Waidring in the Pillerseetal in the Kitzbühel Alps.

Dream location: three states, one mountain!

The Steinplatte-Winklmoosalm is located in the border triangle Tyrol-Salzburg-Bayern and is easily accessible from Austria and Germany: on the Austrian side from Waidring in Tyrol a gondola brings you onto the Steinplatte – on the German side you can take the road from Seegatterl/Reit im Winkl to the Winklmoosalm. Right smack in the middle of the mountains, located on a beautiful, sunny plateau.
